Today I can announce (officially!) the release of a new cassette tape. The title is λίθον, ὅν ἀπεδοκίμασαν οἱ οἰκοδομοῦντες (“the stone which the builders rejected“) and it came out through the Noise Below label of my friend Nicolas Malevitsis. It is the piece that was presented in December 10, 2016 in Habeat Records, Athens, Greece.
The stone which the builders rejected is a reconstruction of underestimated and mislaid recordings from the years 1984 to 1987, with the participation of Kostas Anestis, synthesizer and voice; Yiannis Argyropoulos, drums, piano and voice; Eleni Drygianaki, voice; me, a bit of everything and voice; Christos Kaltis, bass and voice; Alexis Karavergos, guitar and voice; Petros and Eliza Koutsopoulou, voices; Kostas Pandopoulos, sea and voice; Eleni Varouxi, toy trumpets and voice. It was crafted in October – November 2016.
The cassette is one-sided (approximately 23 minutes), it came out in 100 copies with handmade eco-printed covers by Olya Gluschenko; each one is unique, as shown in the picture. It is available through the Noise Below bandcamp page.
